Our Approach
Project Execution and Management
United Design and Construction (UDC) manages every project with the utmost care, which is the foundation of their success. Their approach to project management and contract administration is driven by a collaborative and non-adversarial attitude.
The Project Execution Plan (PEP) serves as the primary document for planning, executing, monitoring, and controlling projects. It acts as the central communication tool to ensure all stakeholders understand the project objectives and how they will be achieved.
The PEP is a key agreement between the Headquarters and the federal project director. A preliminary plan must be developed and approved at Critical Decision-1. The project objectives are derived from the mission needs statement, with input from an integrated project team to develop the PEP.
As a living document, the PEP evolves to reflect current and future processes, such as integrating safety into the design process. Updates are regularly made as projects progress through different Critical Decision stages.
